Vets have the strength to do what is right. Even when it hurts. They have the deepest love for all creatures. And they are suckers for a furry face.
If you are a certified and experienced vet, we would be pleased to help you take the next step in your career. Therefore, consider starting an international career… In the Netherlands! With exciting job opportunities, a good salary and a home for you and your family.
Is this who you are?
We would like to meet you!
Read the legal aspects of moving to the Netherlands: Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND). We can tell you more about this process, if you want.
To practice as a vet you have to register via www.diergeneeskunderegister.nl after which the vetenariy university will decide if your diploma meets Dutch standards. This procedure can take several months.
We can help you with the paper work, but you can decide to take that first step by yourself as well.
With all (17 million inhabitants), we keep more than 32 million pets. Many of them are dogs and cats, but birds, fish and rodents are also well represented. For these animals, there are approximately 4000 veterinarians at work.
The Netherlands are also a real farm country. Around 18 million larger livestock animals (cows, sheep and goats, pigs and horses) graze here. The number of poultry animals (chickens, turkeys, ducks) far exceeds this: around 107 million altogether. For these farm animals, 3000 veterinarians are available.
In addition to animals, the Dutch love to acquire knowledge and technological developments. And Dutch veterinarians are reaping the benefits of this. Almost all our clinics are equipped with the most modern diagnostic and treatment equipment. Furthermore, the medical and practical knowledge of our veterinarians is very high.
We have various positions available for you
So everything is well arranged for animals and vets here in the Netherlands. However, there are still more animals that need help than vets. For this reason, we are looking for you!
We will keep you posted with our latest news.
